Honey in combs

Honey in honeycombs (comb honey) is honey, sealed in honeycombs. Cells are covered with wax lids, so honey is considered sterile. If you follow the rules of storage, the honey inside is liquid, because propolis has the properties of a preservative. Such characteristics as color, taste and smell vary depending on the plants from which the bees collected pollen and nectar. Comb honey is considered the most useful, it retains all the enzymes and nutrients. In addition to honey, it is also wax, honeycomb capping (top caps of honeycomb), bee bread, pollen and propolis. Each of these components is a valuable product and together it is just a godsend for the whole family.

Honey in honeycombs is twice as expensive and this is explained by the fact that it is difficult to pack, store and transport. Not every beekeeper will cope with this. The quality of honey is easy to determine, honeycombs should not be damaged, honey should not flow and the lids should remain intact. So it retains all its useful properties.

When honeycombs are removed from the hive, the honeycombs are cut into portions. It is advised to eat it wholly, so you eat also pollen, bee bread, wax, honeycomb capping, propolis. Alternatively, you can chew wax and suck honey, while wax is not necessary to swallow, but it should be noted that getting into the body wax works as an adsorbent and removes toxins. Comb honey is very useful. Its composition is complex. When you chew the wax it has a beneficial effect on the entire oral cavity, cleans the plaque, whiten your teeth.

-      albuminoids,

-      enzymes;

-      organic acids (acetic, formic, amber);

-      pantothenic acid;

-       nicotinic acid;

-      folic acid;

-      proteins and amino acids.

The composition of honey in honeycombs is different depending on the honey plants.  Propolis, which is part of honey in honeycombs, acts as a natural antiseptic, an analgesic.
